About the bouquets

Are silk flowers really made of silk?

Usually not. Silk flowers is a commonly used term for artificial flowers, but it does not mean that the petals are made of real silk. The flowers in my bouquets combine textiles and plastic. The stems contain metal wire so I can shape them beautifully. Some flowers feel remarkably soft and natural; this is often called real touch. The exact materials vary from flower to flower.

How long will a silk bouquet stay beautiful?

A silk bouquet does not wilt like fresh flowers and can stay beautiful for years. Exactly how long depends on the materials and where you place it. Dust it gently from time to time and avoid prolonged bright sunlight and moisture. For more tips, see How to keep artificial flowers beautiful.

Can silk flowers be kept outdoors?

My bouquets are intended for indoor use. Outdoors, rain, moisture, wind and prolonged bright sunlight can damage the flowers and affect the shape of the bouquet. It is best to choose a dry spot indoors.

Is every bouquet truly unique?

Yes. At the moment, every SiaFlora bouquet is made as a one-off piece. Once it is sold, that exact combination is no longer available. I may sometimes be able to create something similar in the same mood, colour or size.

Can my bouquet differ from the photo?

You receive the bouquet shown on the product page. Colours may look slightly different on a screen or in different light. Careful packing and transport can also make the bouquet arrive a little more compact; gently giving a few flowers or branches some space usually restores its original shape.

How do I care for a lasting bouquet?

A lasting bouquet needs little maintenance. Gently dusting it from time to time is usually enough. Keep it indoors and avoid prolonged bright sunlight or moisture so the colours and materials stay beautiful for as long as possible.

Size & vase

Does a silk bouquet need water in the vase?

No, a silk bouquet does not need water. Use a dry vase: moisture is not suitable for every material and can collect between flowers or at joins. Even a bouquet sold with a vase does not need watering.

Is the vase included?

This varies by bouquet and is always stated clearly on the product page. Some bouquets are available with or without a vase. Others are built specifically in the vase and are therefore sold only as a complete arrangement.

Can I place a bouquet in my own vase?

If the bouquet is available without a vase, certainly. Consider not only the vase height but also its shape and opening, as these strongly influence how the bouquet sits. We therefore provide key dimensions and suitable vase guidance where possible.

How do I choose the right size?

Consider the place where the bouquet will stand. Each product page lists its height, width and, where relevant, depth, plus guidance on where the size works well. If in doubt, measure the space first.

Does every bouquet look good from all sides?

Bouquets are arranged differently. Some are composed all around and can be viewed from almost every angle. Others intentionally have a clear front and work better against a wall or on a sideboard. This is stated for the relevant bouquet.

Ordering & delivery

Can my bouquet be delivered locally?

Local delivery is sometimes possible. Before ordering, send me the name of the bouquet and the town or village where you live, and I will let you know what is possible.

How long will delivery of my bouquet take?

If you order a bouquet that can be shipped before 12 noon on a business day, I normally dispatch it that same business day. PostNL then usually delivers it within 1–3 business days. Do you need the bouquet by a particular date? Send me a message before ordering, and I will be happy to see what is possible.

Can I request a similar bouquet?

Yes. Because every bouquet is currently a one-off piece and flower and vase availability changes, I cannot promise an exact copy. I can look at a similar combination in colour, appearance and size.

Do I need to arrange the bouquet myself?

No. The bouquet is fully arranged and the stems are cut to the correct length. Packing and transport may bring some flowers or branches closer together; after delivery, you may only need to give them a little space.

Can every bouquet be shipped?

Not always. Some large or fragile bouquets and certain vase combinations cannot be shipped safely as a parcel. If a bouquet is collection-only, this is stated clearly before you order.

Returns & problems

How do returns work?

Would you like to return an order? See Shipping & returns for the current process, conditions and return costs before sending a parcel back.

What if my bouquet arrives damaged?

That should not happen. Contact us and include clear photos of the bouquet, any vase and the packaging. We will assess what happened and find a suitable solution. Full conditions for damage and delivery are available under Shipping & returns and in the Terms and Conditions.
